I have started FSW 2014 application process. But I had a question in my mind, is it possible to apply for both student visa and immigration visa at the same time? can I apply for studying post graduate diploma (January 2015) intake in a Canadian University? If I do, in that case will any of my visa application be affected? An education consultant told me that he was not sure but may be in that case my student visa may be rejected. I was eager to study Post graduate diploma program in Canada to add value to my career. Or should I wait for fsw application result, see it and later at some point of time apply for student visa?

Please help with your valuable suggestions.

Thank you...

You can certainly apply for the student visa - but it's impossible to say if it will be approved.

If the student visa is rejected, this will have no impact on your FSW application.

Students Visa application is different from FSW. they will be treated separately. You can even apply on more than 3 NOCs in the FSW programme around the same time if you have job experience on the 3. Again for example, the FSW application does not stop you from applying for a temporary Resident Visa to Visit Canada.

Hello DeeBruv and Scylla, thanks to both of you for replies. I would like to apply then.

Another thing that came out which I was not at all aware of....I did not know it at all that one applicant can apply for more than 3 NOC.

I have just two years of experience in Public Relations. I chose NOC 1123(Advertisement, public relations, marketing). But my field of study was Bachelor and Masters is Management Studies.

May I also apply for NOC 1121-Human Resources Manager, (though I do not have exact work experience in HR field, my work/activities/job responsibilities in Public Relations only matched with HR functions to some extent )?

If yes, then could you please tell me how can I choose NOC 1121 (Human Resource Manager) too along with NOC 1123? DO I have to apply through the same application? Or should I fill up separate application forms and send both?

Kindly let me know please.
Thank you both again.....

:)

Thought of bumping this topic since it's very similar to my issue.
I have applied for the FSW 2014 program and I am currently awaiting my interview. I have also gained admission into a university for my MBA. I was hoping to have my PR ready but looks like the process will not be completed. There is a question regarding previous application to enter or remain in Canada in one of the forms for the student visa. Do I need to mention my FSW UCI in it?

Thanks.
