I am currently on H1B in the USA with Indian passport, where my visa is expiring in Nov 2014. I want to apply for Canada FSW immigration with New York office. My problem is with visa expiring, I have my proof of admission till Nov' 2014. CIC says I need to have proof of admission for one year.
Although I am in discussion with my attorney to file the extension and I have approval from my employer for extension, do you think I can use that discussion and still file with NY office? I can attach the discussions between me and attorney for renewal discussion. I am not even in 6 months window so have to wait for a month before my H1B visa extension is applied. I am exempted from any cap, so renewal should be easy and I should have it by July or so and can update CIC later. But I don't want this to delay FSW application.
Can you suggest? Would updating CIC later with my extension suffice?
