Here is my story and I would love to get your input

FSW Denied 2017
- FSW was denied in 2017, I am currently on maintenance which was evaluated to cost CAD 10 000 per year.
- although my previous company has an office in Canada, I did not ask if they can do recommendation.
- I was finally denied with my FSW application in 2017
- I did not ask my friends and relatives in Toronto to give out statement that they will help me find a job, I wanted to do things with my agent without anyone knowing. That man extracted USD 5 000 from without receipt, Karma will get him.

I was a bit depressed for a while, I travelled in Asia to cope up with my stress. So in 2017 I travelled to show that I have the capacity to go to study abroad

Student Visa denied
- I checked on how I can apply and live in Canada for good without the immigration officer thinking that I will be a burden the medical system. An international student is not eligible for Provincial health insurance except for Manitoba, but still the Uni or College requires an additional health insurance.
- I decided to go as a Student, taking 1 year course at PACE UWinnipeg for Project Management
- Back then Manitoba offers 60% reverse scholarship, where 60% of the tuition total will be returned after tax
- Back then, Manitoba allows PNP after 6 months work experience for International Student who graduated from Manitoba institution compare to 1 year for other provinces
- I contacted another agency here in my country, I was advise to tell the visa officer that I am coming back. In my head it was logical since I am not sure of my life in Manitoba and if I can find any job
- In my lengthy purpose letter, I did not mention my refusal but I know they knew. I stated the news post information on the Philippine job market for IT, my intention to buy Insurance to supplement the one from school and Province, and how I do not have ties to anyone in Manitoba, which is true. I did choose to study in Toronto because of this.
- Apparently the job market for IT with international diploma and experience is also booming in the Philippines
- the Agency did not ask me for any fee.

A month Later, I was denied. It was stated that, I will not return, my ties to my country is not good enough.

Eureka moment: plans ahead

- during the first quarter of the year, I finally accepted a job offer that is more than my asking rate. The work adjustment help me and got myself busy. Also enough for me to pay for the tuition and other expenses by my self.
- The refusal was a bit expected for me, I was also apprehensive and unconvinced when we wrote that I will not be coming back. I thought, I already have an FSW application why on earth would the visa officer believe that I will not stay in Canada.
- I commissioned 2 lawyers in Canada to check on my 2 rejection notice. They did for both my FSW and Student visa application.
- My suspicion was confirmed. For FSW - They believe the system will be burdened if I became a PR without job and health insurance. For Student Visa - they believe my ties are lacking, and my work experience + the study will make it easy for me to get work in Canada.

I am planning again to reapply. I was applied and was accepted in UWinnipeg. I am still waiting if the acceptance letter from Centennial College.

Has anyone been through the same path?

My parents were amazed on the grit I displayed. They could not believe that I did not surrender. But I know inside, the experience was too much. I just thought, I am doing this for my future.
