Hi All,
I am new to this site, but think it is a really great resource!
I have a little bit of a dilema. I moved to Canada about 18 months on an exchange scheme (through BUNAC) which allowed me to work for 12 months. In March of this year, I submitted an application to CIC, which was approved and then moved on to the second stage in Buffalo in late June. I am still waiting to here back from them.
My question is:
I have 65 points without a job offer. I do have a permanent job (which I have been working in for 8 months up until my work permit ran out in May - I am currently on unpaid leave - which is in the field of the category I applied under) however, this job or permanent job offer (which I included in my application) was not approved by HRSDC. Will CIC discount this as it was it not approved, or is their any subjectivity around this considering I am already in Canada, have a job and ready to get back to work?
Also, I put down that I had basic french, as I have a GCSE in French and have to use it a little in my job (my employer confirmed this in their offer of employement). I have since read that A-level french is the minimun?
I would greatfully receive any advice. Please be as honest as you can at this point, I would rather know the truth, as I just want a resolution to this either way ASAP.
Have a great day everyone.
Katie
