Hi,,

I have my sister who wants to apply for FSW, she has now 66 points without the adaptability factor, I am 28 years old living in Canada but I'm not a permanent resident, I am a refugee claimant and waiting until I get my hearing to be as a refugee convention. The adaptability factor states that the applicant will get 5 points if:

Relatives in Canada
You, or, if it applies, your spouse or common-law partner, have a relative, either a

parent,
grandparent,
child,
grandchild,
child of a parent (sibling),
child of a grandparent (aunt or uncle), or
grandchild of a parent (niece or nephew), who is
living in Canada
18 years or older and
a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Would I be an an eligible factor for her to get the 5 points?

Thanks

No - she won't get any points.

To get the points, you would either have to be a permanent resident of Canada or a citizen.
