Hi All,

I have total 10 years of Experience and have worked in 6 companies.

Do I need to get the detailed experience letter as required by CHC New Delhi or Experience letter from companies for past 6 years would suffice ?

Also in the application I didn't mention all the companies as few companies work didn't match NOC list. Is this ok?

Regards,
Laxmikanth

When u declare anything to them reveal the truth as they can trace out anything discrepancy easily. U only need a years experience to qualify under this quota. So why are u worried.
Later if they find out u could be rejected for misreprentation.
Truth always prevails.

Yes I agree the truth prevails.

The How to fill documents says that mention only the experience which fall under NOC list so thats why out of 6 companies I have mentioned the latest 3 companies which properly falls under NOC list. for the remaining 3 companies I still provide the experience letter.

Pls advice.

Regards,
Laxmikanth

Mention only the experience and focus on that which represents your occupation as COMP AND INFO SYSTEMS MANAGER. Anything other than that has very very little or no consideration by the cic.
If you were the manager (0213) of company #6 or #5 or so on, then only that experience would be taken into count, rest are just added advantage.

mention all your experience. the continuous one year experience which falls under NOC 0213 will make you qualified. this is absolutely wrong to mention only the "computer and information systems management" experience. your remaining experience is absolutely taken into account for granting maximum points as long as that experience falls under Skill Level 0, 1, or 2. hope this helps.

you fail to prove 0213, you are not gonna get anything

I agree 100% with ja77 - you must list out ALL your work experience in a truthful manner, whether they conform to NOC 0213 or not. This will give an indication about your honest approach to the IO. And like ja77 mentioned, it might also help you fetch extra points if applicable under skill level 0, 1 or 2. All the best and hope you get the good news pretty soon :)

I didnt Diasgree with ja. My focus was to highlight 0213. If you highlight other NOCs in IT field, then your app will be returned back. So Concentrate more on 0213. Less on others. When I said less, It meant less than 0213, not more that it.

Here is the details from How to Fill Document from CIC Website

Your work experience
Starting with your current occupation, list all of the occupations that you have had in the 10 years preceding the date of your application. For each occupation;
• include the appropriate National Occupational Classification (NOC) code,
• check the box that corresponds to the number of years of continuous full-time or equivalent part-time experience, and
• write a description of your main duties.

Note: List only occupations that fall in Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B of the NOC.

PLEASE CALRIFY NOW. I am confused.

what's the confusion my friend? that's what i said above. list down all your job experiences starting from the recent one and provide appropriate NOC codes for each of your job. one of your jobs falls under NOC 0213 and the remaining will fall under other NOC codes. just provide appropriate NOC codes for each of your job.

What if, if one of my job doens;t match any NOC ..in that case can I not mention that experience ?

Dear Laxmikanthms

Please excuse me for elaborating in lot more detail. You get maximum points for total 4+ years of experience. You need at least 1 year in 0213 and rest 3 years experience can be in category 0, A or B to qualify for FSW cat 1. The first digit of the NOC code identifies the Skill Type of an occupation. 1 corresponds to Skill Level A, 2 or 3 correspond to Skill Level B

To have more information on category 0, A or B please read
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/FAQ.aspx

Now you should add all the jobs that qualify under 0, A or B category irrespective of whether they qualify for 0213 or not

You should provide reference letter for all jobs as far as possible and if you have reference letter for only four years including last job reference letter and 0213 reference letter (last job and 0213 can be same) then you are good to go. For other jobs you can provide only experience letters.

If you have done any jobs that do not fall under cat 0 A or B and you have not mentioned them in your application, you are still good.

Thank You very much Ankit. This clarifies very much.

Best Regards,
Laxmikanth

Hi everyone, I received Experience Letter from my company. The format is not the same as the way I listed my duties in details in the Schedule 3.

It describes my titles and duties in a summary format (paragraphs) and not as detailed as in Schedule 3 but it essentially has main responsibilities and duties for my job, it is also in broader language

All the titles are the same as I have in Schedule 3

Do you think this will represent problems?

PLEASE HELP ME WITH YOUR INPUT

My question is - Does Experience Letter have to be very detailed?

It is impossible to get that especially for job that was performed in the past.

Do you think as long as it captures the title, main responsibilities and duties - it should be ok?
