How can one get a closed work permit as a foreigner how is immigrating to canada under skilled professional program?

As a foreigner from say Ghana coming to canada to work under the skilled professional program and have a stay, how would this affect me? Please can you explain the later part of your post, didn't understand it well. thank you.
