my medical result was mailed on 07 Mar...am I right to presume that I passed the medical requirement? who will inform me of any further tests in case I didn't make it?

also...can anyone share me der experience a timeline of how long will my passport be requested and be returned with my visa?

any idea will calm me down...please

Based on trackitt time lines it takes about 2 to 3 months for passport request after medicals. and it might be about another month or so for you to get it back with PR visa after you mail it to CIC. Be a little more patient.
Good Luck

naps5,

First, be sure for the date when did your medical examination was sent to Canadian Embassy then on the given date count only 1~2 months then you will received the request letter for your passport. Sometimes it tooks only 1~1 1/2 months before the letter come like what happen to me. Gud Luck....

josh,

I would like to ask how long should I wait from the time my Ecas says "DECISION MADE" to visa issuance.

Thanks..

breech,

According to the embassy 20~30 working days but there are cases they recieved their passport with visa in just 17 working days and that is the fastest I've known.

to naps5....

i receive my visa nearly 3 mos after my medical,it really depends on the load of work inside the embassy,if you have been inside the 2nd to 3rd quarter probably two mos,i hope it wont be that long, anyways when you get your visa it will be worth the wait.please inform us if you got your visa.

see you in canada

Our medical was done on March 11, 2009 and now 45 days passed but did not hear anything from visa office.... I know a friend who got PPR after 35 days of medical and then received visa after ten days of passport submission... lets see what happenes

We just had to provide more documents and didn't receive PPR yet. It's almost 3 month after medicals.
I hope to get it with mondays mail, would be such a great birthday present!
Friends applied about 8 weeks before we did didn't receive anything at all yet. No requests, no PPR.
So there is no special timeline.
I think it depends on how many documents u provide (extening backround check) and how the offices respond when they have to answere on requests for the check.
Medical check doesn't mean the the backroundcheck ist done, and so on.
And I agree to the workload issue.

Does anyone know if there is one officer working the case from the scratch to the end?
Or is it more the way that all applications go into a "pool" and every officer just grabs the one on top?
I mean- if everyone has his/hers own pile- they can take longer in vaccation periods and because of illness and so on.
If it is a pool every new office will have to work himself into the current case..
Trackitt is great, but doesn't guarantee anything, unfortunately!

morepower.

As I read your post, I feel you are so worried. You said you provide additional documents and I think that is the cause of the delay in their response. They will not ask some additional documents if it is complete. All we can do is to have patient. Did you call to the hospital or the doctor where you conduct your medical examination to ensure that your result is already sent?

Gud luck...

Acctually I am not really worried. I am just sick of waiting. The documents they requested didn't have anything to do with the medical check.
I just wrote my 5 ct to the question of "how long do I have to wait".
As I wrote before- we are not the only ones. All the others arroud here are waiting for movements in their application, too.
It just would have been great to receive something today, as birtday present.
On one hand I don't care anymore. With all our "secure plans" broken apart we are just able to move on.
It's gonna end- with the visa issued or without. We just have a couple more week to wait before we have to make some major decisions ourselves.

I just wanted to make clear that all these questions about "when does whatever thing have to happen?" do not help anyone to move forward. Just because something happens to me doesn't mean that the next one - in the same situation- will end up with the same results, right?
Ppl try to measure everything on other cases. That causes more nervousness that piece and patience.
When we got in trouble, all the other just keept saying that it will take only two more month until they willissue the visa. Maybe that worked in their cases, but not for ours. So how can they say - better persist?

Noone even knows how they work there at CIC. No respond to that. That was what I was hoping to get an answere for...
