From closed to open work permit

is there anyway to change my closed work permit that’s expiring soon to open work permit. I don’t have another job offer and can’t find new jobs with my closed work license permit. I am getting rejected because of this. Any workarounds?

Do you have a Canadian spouse or common law partner?

Do you have a foreign spouse or common law partner who is in Canada on a study permit or work permit?

No . I will apply once my contract ends so I gain more points. I will most probably transition to study permit as well.

In that case I don't see any options for an open work permit at this time.

Note that any work experience gained while on a study permit cannot be counted towards PR.

Sorry even if I am transitioning to study permit by the end of my contract?

Oh sorry you said I will get Canadian experience points if I started studying right? I guess this is if I started studying while working. But what if I will start studying after my work permit expires.

Any work experience gained while you are studying CANNOT be counted towards CEC.
