My friend recently came to know that some of his marriage is not done not as per the law of land and still his uncle who works in government able to get a marriage certificate for him which is required by CIC from that particular region. His EE application is in progress.

Now he is confused that should he inform CiC and withdraws his application or inform and ask them the next step or what?

His spouse is non accompanying. Also he passed medical and provided biometrics

If the marriage certificate was awarded by Marriage Registration Organization in that country, then no problem.

Which country is he from?
If something hasn’t been done as per the law of the land it means that thing doesn’t happen.

He should better inform CIC.

I think he needs to consult a lawyer on this. This seems like a legal issue.
