Forwarding mail from US to Canada - no permanent address yet

Hi all,

How did you manage your mail forwarding before you found a permanent place to live? I've been mulling over several options, but don't know which is best:

  1. Use friend's address in US to forward my US mail, and then bother them to keep sending mail to me. (I don't really like this one)
  2. Rent a mailbox in Canada (UPS, etc) and give that address.
  3. Rent a mailbox in the US, and ask them to hold the mail until I get a permanent address.
Would appreciate any suggestions based on your experiences.
