I am new to the OUTLAND side of things,

Are there THREE document checklists?

Sponsor, applicant and region specific?

There's one "document checklist," per se, but the forms are divided into three categories.

•Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking [IMM 1344]
•Sponsorship Evaluation [IMM 5481]
•Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union [IMM 5409]
•Sponsor Questionnaire [IMM 5540]
•Use of a Representative [IMM 5476]

•Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]
•Additional Dependants/Declaration [IMM 0008DEP]
•Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669]
•Additional Family Information [IMM 5406]
•Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire [IMM 5490]

•Region Specific Instructions for West Europe [IMM 3901]

It's all on the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class page on the CIC website.

You may or may not need the Use of a Rep and Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union forms, obviously....

also i include
passport photocopy
birth certs (me & sponsor)
approx 15-20 pics of dating, wedding, outings etc every christmas since 2005, 10 of outings in Canada
police cert (which only shows ONE conviction!)
receipt of fees
letters from car insurance dated 2006, health policy from '04, bank showing change of address when we moved in, and her name when we married
wedding cert
tax cert from 2010
proof of income - even though she is on EI

You really need to look at that checklist. I can't say that's an exhaustive list. There's a lot of detail to the application package and I would just suggest to read all the forms and the guides (both sponsorship and immigrating). And go over everything, including the checklist, at least a good two times (you might even want to triple check it) before you send it all in. Obviously, the more relationship evidence you can provide, the better. The police certifictes and medicals, including medicals for children, are their own issues. Unless you've lived in another country besides Ireland for more than 6 consecutive months since the age of 18, you're fine. Remember that that cert expires 3 months from the date on the document though.

its ok, happens alot! (it was the name of my boat back home, daughters names are Emma & Abigail)
they are already Canadian through my Canadian born wife
