forms? simple question

hey guys, this is probably a very stupid question but does anyone know if its okay to write 'present' in the date boxes, for example my husband wrote in the education section he has completed 3 years successully of uni but is finishing his 4th. therefore iam just woundering if its okay to write present???

Thats what I did for my employment where I am working now, my schooling where I am still attending and my residence where I still live.
