On the forms they ask for you father's information. What if I don't know anything about his information and that he's never been in my life. I have step dad who I've called dad my whole life, he never adopted me so what do I do? Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

You can write 'unknown' in the fields - but only if it says unknown on your birth certificate. If he's listed, you need to at least write in his name. Then I would include a letter stating basically what you did in the previous post. If he's unknown on your birth certificate, I would note that.

I had to write 'unknown' for my mother's address and martial status. I included a letter explaining this and got accepted without any additional documents needed (so far).

Same for my partner. He knew only the names of his biological parents from his birth certificate. He put "unknown" for everything else and explained in a letter that he had not had contact with them since he was a very young child and knew nothing of their present circumstances.

CIC accepted that without question, as he landed a few months ago :)
