Hi members,

I just received and e-mail from CIC cause one of the forms we sent in was not up to date so they are sending our application back because they cannot submit it like this

We downloaded it end of July 2014 and sent our application Aug 2014 but in the mean time a new form came out (We should've checked again right before sending the form for updates ... aaah but hindsight is a great thing).

Anyway, I was wondering if we'll have to pay again when we resend our application with the new forms ? They have not processed it, so I can't imagine so, well I hope not :-S

Thanks for you help

No not at all.

Simply complete the updated form, and include the letter/e-mail asking you for the new form. You will not have to pay the fees again.

One thing to consider is the police certificate(s) may expire as they are only valid for 3 months.

phew! :-) I did not think so, but wanted to make sure.

I'll look in to the validity of my partner's Police Certs. Thanks for that advice, cause I would not have thought about that.

You could either send the whole application back with the updated form, and perhaps in an addendum mention that the police certificate(s) will expire on a specific date but that you initially sent the application on this date but it was sent back.

They may ask you to get another, so just be prepared.

Check out the August 2014 Outland thread, there are many people in the same situation. In my case the new form hadn't even come out at that time yet they still requested it from me, as well as from a lot of July applicants. You won't have to start a new, just delayed

A week after receiving the letter telling me my form was not the right one I received a letter saying that my right to Sponsor was accepted and that the application has been sent to the visa office.

It's so weird. Especially looking at the first letter they sent me, it did not have my name any where nor my partner's name.

They did the same to me. Requested more documents. i sent them off then received sponsorship , then i get a letter 4 months letter requesting the same documents . Very weird. The sponsorship said they sent my application to London and the letter said we can not accept your application ...
