On form 1344, for 1st question, which one is the best option to choose & why?

1. Withdraw your sponsorship application
2. Proceed with the application for permanent residence

Why an ineligible sponsor will process his/her spouse application. I was thinking as why to waste the time in proceeding with the application.

Thanks in advance.

Just curious why would they proceed with the application if Sponsor is ineligible?
If that option is chosen, that's what they will do. They will proceed and process it and refuse the application. Some do that to get to the appeal process with lawyer (for H&C).

In general, 1 is the option for most. So if a mistake was made by the sponsor, (e.g. he doesn't meet PRO), the result is known sooner and he/she can apply again once the mistake is corrected/ condition changes.

Thanks for your input. Yes, that's my understanding. Why to proceed with your application if you are not eligible and waste the time.
