Forgot to renew SIN when I renewed my Work Permit- will this affect CEC?

I forgot to renew my SIN after I got my after graduation work permit. I have accidentally been working with an expired SIN for two years. I am getting ready to apply for PR. I am going to renew the SIN ASAP but will this affect my CEC application? I have been working and doing taxes with CRA the whole time with no problem. I'm hoping it won't be a problem for my application. I have had a valid work permit the whole time I have been working.

There is no problem as far as I am concerned. But do it as soon as possible. Right now if you can. And please don't forget to apply for a new SIN when you land.

I forgot to renew my SIN after my work permit renewal last year. It's been almost a year now and my WP expires 15 april2017. Also my new Work permit is on progress. What shall i do? Wait for the new permit to arrive and then go for renewal? What will happen to me? Will they cause some issues in renewal affecting my employment? I have been with the same company all this time and tax etc are deducted as per normal process. Please advise. It is worrying me a lot.

Your SIN number will not change so you can wait till WP renewal and then renew SIN. No issues with that.
