Hi, we are just seeking for advices...

This is our situation. I am a foreigner here in Ca, with a working visa as a nurse. Contract expiring this December. My fiance is a Canadian citizen, born and grew up here. We are planning to get married soon. (Actually both here in Ca and my country of origin). Our relationship just started almost a year now. We started living together after our second month and until now. I don't have any family here.

Few questions here.

> I am planning to apply my PR under FSW soon, but my fiance told me not to bother since we are getting married soon. He would just sponsor me. If he would sponsor me, would it be a PR or landed immigrant or can we directly apply for a citizenship? or should I pursue applying for my own PR as FSW?
> Would they say anything about our marriage, since our relationship just started a year? Would they question us?
> Do we need a lawyer to help us apply for a citizenship?
> What's the process we need to follow? Do we need to wait how long after our marriage to be able to apply?

Thanks a lot!

Wiell getting married is up to you you can apply under the family sponsor as common law to as long as you been living together for a year before you apply.Collect as much proof as possible of your relationship, although it is better if you are married and now it doesnt matter if you apply right after you marry as long as you cn prove your relationship before you apply.
And you will be applying for the PR status.
You can apply for the FSW visa as long as you have a job offer in Canada and the employer can prove this to CIC.
Go to the CIC website under the Family Class and look at the requirements get the forms fill them out send them in.Just like we all did.A lawyer i dont think you need, they say the only time you should hire a lawyer if it turns out to have problems, but yours is strait forward you just have to decide what you want to do.....FSW,marry or go common law. Then apply accordingly.Good luck.

thanks a lot there!
