- Hi I want to know if there is a hope for my spouse to remain in Canada or no, he came here as asylum seeker and he was rejected. He received an email to update his immigration file through the phone call interview that they had and he was asked how he understand the immigration procedures and if he no his status in Canada. He said yes he do understand as he currently not having status he's waiting for his prra so that he can see what would the decision be. They told him if he has a spouse and if he's in common law he said Yes, after thar the told him he's not yet qualify for prra till next year year June so they scheduled the date that he have to leave in Canada in January 29th cause if his spouse sponsor him it won't help him to remain in Canada. Unfortunately I was married but my ex-husband was deported but I already filed the Divorce just waiting for the official Divorce certificate so we can get married but I want to file him as my common law spouse We thought we still have time at was by a surprise that a person can removed before prra decision. Please me I want to know if there is a hope or no...
