I am creating this room to discuss about the chance of getting a LMO and the nature of jobs that employers are more likely to provide you a LMO. If you do get it or trying to get one, please share your experience/thought here. I do appreaciate your time for sharing. ;)

The criteria for getting a positive LMO are standard:

1. The job has to have been advertised correctly.
2. The employer has to show that they could not find an applicant who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is equally or better qualified than the foreign applicant.
3. the employer has to show that the salary is commensurate with the job being offered.

Point 2 is the major one, it rules out a lot of unskilled positions as there will always be other applicants.
