Hey guys,

Did you guys get your chartered accountancy certificate assessed?

I'm asking this because under the "Employment Requirements" under NOC 1111, it mentions a university degree and some sort of an accounting certificate.

I'm masters-level educated and a CMA. I had already sent my papers to WES but did not include anything regarding the CMA because I read some people saying WES only processes academic credentials.

1.5+1 years (2 jobs) of my work experience fall under 1111, and I'm slightly apprehensive that CIC may reject my application because I did not get my CMA assessed.

I can potentially attach my CMA certificate with the work reference letters for these 2 jobs, but then I'm wondering if I would be potentially inviting unwanted attention, because for my first job, I passed all the exams during my time there, but only got the certificate one month after I left them (when I essentially started my 2nd job). The requirements also mention "several years of on-the-job training", which I'm not sure where that puts me in regards to the timing of my certificate.

If you've applied under NOC 1111, it would be useful to know 1) your current status (EE, ITA, PR), 2) whether you are a chartered accountant 3) whether you have included your accountancy certificate in the EE profile 4) whether you have gotten an ECA for it?

Cheers!

Hello I applied under NOC 1111

I am waiting for my luck to strike for an ITA.

Anyway, I have:-

1. Bsc. (Hons.) in Applied Accounting
2. ACCA, UK

and I am a member CPA (British Columbia)

I gained CPA recently as an international student through MRA between ACCA and CPA.

I did not include my CPA in my EE profile because its CPA (Canada) and Canadian credential do not require WES. WES is only for foreign education credentials.

Secondly, I did not include because I gained it through MRA between ACCA and CPA. So I do not have a formal transcript. Neither does CPA give transcript to students who joined CPA under MRA. I have all the documents ready for CPA. I will submit them once I have ITA.

Regards,
Sameer.

Thanks Sameer. This is slightly a different situation that mine. Would love to hear from other people who have foreign credentials.

Anyone? People applying under 1111 can't be this little!

I have applied under NOC 1111
I have the following degrees from India:
B Com
M Com
MBA
However I did my credential (WES) for B Com and M Com only. I got the evaluation from WES which is equalant to 4 years of Bachelors degree from Canada.

I have a BComm & CA (Aust)

Most of my work experience to date has been split between NOC 1111 and 1112.

I just got PPR yesterday so I can categorically tell you that as long as you have an ECA to back it up, you can select the "two or more degrees" option in EE.

Has anyone applied under NOC 1111 without getting ECA for their CA?

I'm sure there are - but what's your point? It just means you will get a lower score as you don't have an ECA for your CA and thus can't claim the "two or more degrees" option.

I have a Masters degree so don't need to include my CMA to claim "two or more degrees". I'm just wondering whether I should had gotten an ECA for it anyway since I'm applying under NOC 1111.

For NOC 1111 applicants, what's the status of your application?

Hello!
I'm applying as an accountant, though my education is completely unrelated (I have a WES evaluated MA in Linguistics).
My only one year's work experience as that of an accounant, so I'm applying as such. No credentials whatsoever. Only confirmation letters from my job and my pay stubs.
