for the Canadian experience class, does the common law needs IELTS?

My boyfriends and I are applying for the canadian experience class, he's going to be the one who applies with me as a common law, since we have been leaving together for 5 years (including a year and a half in canada). So my question is, does the common law needs to present the ielts test too? he already has it.. but I can't find a place where it says that I (as a common law) need it too. I appreciate the info you may have, thanks!

Only the main applicant need to have language proficiency test.
