For Chucklincanuck – sorry your mailbox was full.
How did you go about applying for the official document showing deportations? My husband would need one from Greece, and since he can’t go to Greece as he doesn’t have a visa (hence the deportations
) we have been told a few different things.
- get a lawyer in Albania, who will draw up some papers saying who you are and what you would like. Have a lawyer in Greece apply on your behalf, and then a family member in Greece pick up the document showing the deportations. This apparently take 6-8 weeks. This seems most likely although a pain!
Were you told to do something similar? Or did you do something similar to this? Has yours arrived yet? Does it list all previous deportations from the Country? Or do you need a seperate one for each deportation even if its from the same Country?
And thank you so much for the heads up! Glad to get this done at the same time as the medicals, and clearance letters, especially since the deportations didn’t show up on the Greek police clearance or the Albanian police clearance.
