Hi everyone. I would like to ask about Asylum application. My friend's brother landed to canada as a visitor visa this year. now he wants to apply for asylum application.

1. Is there any negative impact on my friend for that?

My friend is a Citizen of Canada. My friend just provided invitation letter to his brother to visit Canada. and my friend's parents are also in Canada on Supervisa.

2. Is there any negative impact on parents supervisa application who are already here in Canada? Or any impact on future PGP application for my friend's parents?

Please guide us in detail as we (me and my friend) do not have any knowledge about this?

Hi there,
I will answer you on what i believe/heard. (Please feel free to do more research).
1) if someone would like to become a refugee or he/she want to demande aslym... this mean he/she strongly believes that there is an high risk of death, torture or persecution. (He/she needs to gather some proof, evidence and have his story straight. (You have to total right to do so)
2) about the person who did the invite: what we are hearing, is that if someone come because of you and ask aslym...for the next 2 or 3 years, immigration with not approve other invitation from you.
3) parent on the process of having their PR, they will be no impact.
