Just for fun, I wanted to start a thread for newcomers to name locations to buy favorite food items from their native land. ;D
I know we will miss these in Canada.
So where are the famous indigenous food markets, music, clothing etc. in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia - and elsewhere?
where are the Little Indias and China towns and what do they specialize in?
Are they expensive and are they "just like home" :o
Indians (regional variants included) Sri Lankans, Chinese, Nigerians, Filippinos, Ukrainians and all others I have not named please join in and help us settle down better!!!

PS:I am Bengali and need to know where to find Eelish Maach first of all!!!

Re: Where does one buy sarson ka saag, elaichi, sounf and other commodities.....

Hello Bengali babu,

Try to eat chapatis as well. Do not eat too much rice. Chapatis will keep you helthy and will provide you physical strength. Alu ke paratha, chane masala, Rajma also good for you.
