You will have to stop working if your PGWP expires before you are notified that you are a PR through automatic landing.

If you don't want the risk of having to stop working, then apply for the BOWP. You can always cancel it.

Do you have the COPR or not?

BOWP. It would allow you to continue to work while you are awaiting the PR status.

You will have to contact the call centre to find out. I don't think you need the physical copy to continue working, as long as it has already been approved in the portal.

The physical copy is required when changing your SIN number,extending your driver's licence and qualifies you to pay domestic tuition fees if you plan on going back to school.

I am not sure completely on how this new system works.

But having your COPR means you are already a PR and can hence continue to work. You don't a permit anymore.

Your status will still be work permit till landing is completed. I later received my COPR on Christmas eve. Just be patient you will get it soon.
