Am planning to book a ticket from india to canada via abu dhabi and rome (Alitalia airlines). There won't be any change in the terminals at rome airport. Do i require a transit visa?

New delhi - frankfurt - canada 24 hours journey. 70000rs
Layover at frankfurt is for 7hours.
