Flagpoling from ferry terminal Newfoundland?

Hi all,
I am currently in Newfoundland and finally got my work permit approved. I need to activate it however and was wondering if anyone knows whether I can flagpole at a ferry crossing (from Fortune to St Pierre and Miquelon)? Or would I have to leave the country and re-enter? Thank you

Flagpoling generally involves leaving the country and returning but others here have reported that the CBSA officers at that ferry crossing have processed peoples' permits. If you're willing to drive a few hours, you can try. Maybe call them first.
