I plan to get a post-graduation work permit by flag-poling at the Emerson Pembina port of entry. Does anyone have any experience with flag-poling at this location recently, can you please share, it would be greatly appreciated, I have never done this before and a bit anxious about the outcome and the chance of being rejected. I plan to stay in the States for a night and re-enter the next morning, study permit and visa are still valid till Dec 31, 2019.
Thank you very much!

You're good, since you already have a US visa , you can go , stay there , and come back .
Also having a valid TRV which won't cause an issue if you're rejected at POE for strange reasons.

I've seen someone do a flagpole at Emerson border.

Go for it !!

Yes, I saw this one, I was hoping that someone could share a more recent experience or other kind of flag-poling experience. Do you know if getting a PGWP from CBSA by flag-poling has any effect on my online application, I just applied on Monday and learned all about flag-poling yesterday! It was so good to be true, I could hardly believe it exists and why I didn't know about flag-poling until now. But since it's so good to be true, I felt like something bad is just hidden in plain sight and since I just learned about it, I need to make sure and learned from people with experience!

I did flagpole recently but used the Point Roberts crossing the process was smooth and easy. Just remember to have all the required documents on hand and you will be good to go. Good luck.
