fixed deposits joint with mother

Hello,

i have couple of fixed deposits joint with my mother. i would like to show it as proof of funds. what should i do?

1. consent letter from mother stating that i am free to use these funds any time
or 2. an affidavit stating that these funds are gift to me
or 3. i can not use it

They will have to be in your name only. So you'll need to amend the deposit to be in your name and use a gift deed to clarify that the funds are completely for your use.

I also have my joint bank account with my mother which was opened before marriage. Most of my funds are in that account in FD.
I got an affidavit from her stating that it does not retain to her and that I can use it on my own will. As i pay the tax on interest of these FDs it is also written in the affidavit. On the basis of that affidavit, i got my PNP nomination from Ontario and presently in NA2 stage. So i believe not a problem get the affidavit and get it notarized.
