FIRST TIME APPLICANT

Hi Friends,

I am a first time Canada PR applicant, I have planned to migrate to canada with my family on a long term, currently residing in Singapore (Indian race). Though I gathered enough informations from cic.gov.ca site, I'm still looking for details to include my family for the PR application. I have downloaded the IMM5444E and IMM5455B forms, however there is no columns or informations to include my spouse and kid as dependants in the application form.

Would greatly appreciate if someone could guide me thru on the below questions, process and what is the best way, time to apply Canada PR.

1. Can i apply PR for my family as me being the primary applicant and they are dependants?
2. What and where do I download these application forms to include my family (as IMM5444E doesnt have columns to include family details)
3. What documents would be required to submit for dependant PR for my spouse and Kid (I understand marriage cert for my spouse and birth cert for my kid)?
4. There is a sydney address in the bottom of the application, is that where we mail the documents?

I am a bit confused on your situation, so in order to help you better, please allow me some questions.
Are you already a PR of Canada looking to sponsor your family to Canada?

Or are you looking at emigrating to Canada with your family ( but nobody is a PR of Canada yet?)

Hello Vins,

I would suggest to look at the CIC website and see if you fit into one of the categories for provincial nominee, and on the forum on the thread corresponding.
You are posting now in the "family sponsorship" section, where people are sponsoring their spouse/their family to Canada - but one of the spouse is a PR holder, or a Canadian citizen, so it is a very different process, and I am not sure you will get much help from this section of the forum.

and you can choose the ones that are relevant to your case.

For now you can not apply as a skilled worker, as from the 1st of July CIC is not accepting anymore applications for the moment. See here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

you can look at "provincial nominee" http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-application.asp

you will have more details on the CIC website on which are your options at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp

Hi Sweden,

Thanks for sharing some links which i didnt come across. This would help, looks like I need to do a lot of ground work first to understand on the PR process even before I submit my application form for approval.

I understand that i posted my query in a wrong forum, hope the moderator could help moving this topic to the relevant forum.
