This was exactly a month ago today but I have been too busy! BC Girls' post reminded me to share my story too :-*
I finished our Conjugal application after about 10 months of getting the right documentation together (and after 3 years of being apart and waiting for an annulment that was halted in progress)
I worked on it very hard.. the last few hours were actually spent minimizing it in size.. ripping out every second page of chat logs. Finally on Friday afternoon I rode it down to the post office on my bike.
It was 5pm and I was scrambling to get it all stuffed in the box, taped up, and addressed nicely. The postman was just collecting all the final parcels of the day. He turned to me and asked if I wanted the box to go in today's mail. ;D Yes please! I said. He waited in the truck outside the pharmacy post office and I hand delivered my package to the truck. I took a picture with him holding the box and cried behind my sunglasses as the mail van drove away 8)
I was so touched because after everything you go through to get the visa underway it's surprising and nice when people will go out of their way to do favours for you, not even knowing what it means to you. Thank-you, Canada Post man!

On top of the application was the bar code pages and separate folders for applicant and sponsor

The Proof of Relationship. This was heavy but since we were applying as conjugal we had to sumbit enough for all our five years together.

The Box. It was not completely full but the other size wouldn't fit it all.

Thank-you, Mr. Postman!

That's an awesome story :) You should print it out and give a copy to the post person one of these days 8)

Good luck with your application.

Well-done Steph C, and best of luck to all of us. I'm really hoping we will all have a quick and smooth process :)

thats alot of proof of relationship ..

looking at that.. i dont think we sent enough.. hmm.. :P

ours were only 50/60 total..which included the call logs and stuff..

Wish you all the best in this process.. :)

Wow, that's a big package Steph C. :)
Great that it is send now.

Good luck with everything.

OMG! :o

And I thought that our package was big... so much work, so much stress... diligence eventually pays off. :D

Good luck!!

Thank-you for sharing! I'm just gettiing started with our application, and it's encouraged me to keep going and get it done asap :D

Have a great day, and good luck!

In hindsight I would have rather sent a more disorganized one 10 months ago. At least if they needed anything they would have contacted us, and he might be here by now!

I have been in this process since 2006 (2001 since I first applied), I just called the immigration people and she told me she doesn't know where my application is!
But everyday we meet Canadians and immigrants here who make us so happy, we like i there.
But if it wasn't for the way these regular canadians and new immigrants help us and talk to us in a friendly way I would leave Canada asap.
