Hello,

Let us begin this thread to follow the fingerprint agent locations across USA for the FBI fingerprint agent locations. Particularly I am looking for Fingerprinting Agents in New York City and surrounding areas. If anyone has any information regarding the same, can you'll please share it in this post.

I live in CT and got mine done at local Police Station. Free. I just had to bring in fingerprinting sheet which I bought from Amazon.

So its like get fingerprinting sheet from amazon ,get tge finger print and mail it to fbi along with application form?

How I did is that, I went to a nearby fingerprinting agency in my locality and they had the FD-258 printed in heavy cardstock. They did all the fingerprinting process, took prints for me in the card in digital for myself and my wife and gave it to us. I paid $70 for it.

They also offered extra copies of the cards, $5 each. Then I filled out the application, CC authorization form and the completed FD-258 cards and sent to FBI CJIS division in Clarksburg, WV.

Thank you very very much...

One last question ...does this FBI process include anything related to current employment...I mean will my current employer be contacted for any information? I dont want them to know at this stage

No, employers won't be contacted at all. The fingerprints you submit will be run against the FBI database to see if its matching any case/case history to see if you have any criminal history.

From above mentioned link:

For a fee, the FBI can provide individuals with an Identity History Summary—often referred to as a criminal history record or a “rap sheet”—listing certain information taken from fingerprint submissions kept by the FBI and related to arrests and, in some instances, federal employment, naturalization, or military service.
