Finding work in canada from India

Hi Guys..

I am currently living in India and I am employed with a work experience of 6 years.

I will be travelling to Canada shortly, can I attend interviews in Canada on a visit visa? Can I apply for jobs from here and give the address of my brother who is currently a PR holder there or provide my India address and write the dates of my availability in Canada

Would it be a right option to do ? Can anyone please advise on the scenario

You can go on interviews, but any employer would have to apply for an LMIA for you and have to prove that no other canadian can do the job etc. This costs the employer money and typically takes quite a while, so to find an employer to do that is extremely difficult.

If you give your brothers address it would still be advisable to not imply by doing so that you are legally entitled to work in Canada. If the employer discovers that it would likely be a short interview.

Unless you have some skill that is rare in Canada it will be very difficult to get any employer to sponsor an LMIA , pay 1000 dollars and that is after they have spent a few months advertising for a citizen or PR.

Nothing to stop you attending interviews on a visit but not advisable to declare this to CBSA as the primary reason for your visit.

What are your qualifications and work specialisation anyway ?

I work for the Finance and Accounting department (Accounts payable part)... I could find lot of openings in this field that is why I thought I will attend interviews since I am anyways coming on a visit.

After interview if I get a Job offer I can come back an apply for PR in that case I would get higher points was as well.
