Hi All,

I have recently received my canadian PR and wondering if the Months of November and December is good for finding IT jobs as a new immigrant in canada? Please advise.

With year end close by and holiday season beginning, hiring does slow down a little. Keep in mind though Summer season is prime landing time as well, so more immigrants in the market. Also I see its moving and job change season here as well.

So pick your poison, there is no telling how will your luck and your job search will play out. My personal view, don't worry too much about which month you want to land, which city you want to land (just don't settle down in one horse town somewhere in rural area). In bigger scheme of things they play very minor role.

Agreed. December is dead.... and November is the last month to get hired. January and February are the biggest windows as March marks the end of the fiscal year and companies are cutting expenses to meet their budgets. Hiring starts again in May, June and July.
