Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello guys

My boyfriend (21 years old) and I (23 years old) are going to get married on Feb 7th and once we get the certificate, we're going to send it right away. He is born and raised in Quebec, still in University and works in the weekend in a restaurant. His income is not big and his parents pay most of his things.

According to your experience, is it something that could be negative? I'm already working here, but my work permit will expire on the feb 7th. I thought about asking for a letter from my job saying that I'm welcome to come back and work there as soon as I arrive in Quebec again.

This is really worrying me. If anyone has any tips, I appreciatte.

Thank you

You should be fine as there's no real financial requirement for spousal cases :) Just show that your in-laws are willing to help you out as well, a letter from them will do :)

Your sponsor has to provide information about his income but will not be denied to sponsor you even if he don't have any income. The income statement is necessary to ensure that he is not in receipt of any financial support from Canadian government.

If you can get this letter, it will help show you and your husband have a plan for your life together, which is good evidence the relationship is genuine. The letter is not needed, but won't hurt, so if you can get it easily, I would add it.
To repeat, though, the sponsor doesn't need to show an income to sponsor a spouse.

For Quebec resident there is no need to provide anything, not even the tax return. So don't worry just be sure that your spouse is not on Welfare and all will be ok

guys, me and my boyfriend we havent applied for the CSQ – Québec Selection Certificate. Do we need this acceptance in the same package as well?

I am sure you should be fine. The main thing is that you guys will not go on welfare after the sponsorship

As stated the income should be no problem.

However, how long have you been in the relationship before getting married next month? If you had a long and normal course of meeting, dating, engagement, marriage... there should be no problems. Just note that if you guys met and married and then applied for PR all in a very quick period of time, it could be a big red flag for the VO reviewing your file. Also having your friends/family openly support the marriage and including lots of personal letters and pictures with them at the wedding, will be a big help.

Your sponsored need to be approved by Federal before you can apply for CSQ

we met online there's two years and since then we webcam and talked through msn. He was the one telling me to study French in Quebec. I came here in June 17 and we started dating officially.

I know all his family and he knows a couple of friends of mine. He hasnt had a chance to go to Brazil, but wants to go soon. I have photos of us in summer at the beach, some small trips, christmas, we even did hiv test together cause we are both gays. One friend of Brazil even came here to met him and we travelled together.
We've known each other for a while and we dont wanna separate again.

So, we meet on line in December 2010
Saw each other June 2012 and started together
Then we marry next Thursday and go on honeymoon for 5 days.

Is it okay Rob_TO??

It's not up to me!! Though over 2 years of relationship leading up to marriage sounds pretty normal so hopefully your app goes through no problems. It will all be in the hands of the VO assigned to process your application.

It's ridiculous they try to evaluate if your relationship is real or not. Come on! I wanna be with my partner and that's it. I know it's not that easy, but still...

If he gets refused by the first part and they do not send the documents to Sao Paulo Office (we are doing outland), can he re-apply?

That's actually a large part of their job. It's your job to provide proof it's real. The genuine relationship is the basis of your application to stay in Canada.

A short courtship won't get your disqualified. It's true a longer relationship usually get through quicker, but even that isn't always true. I would prepare for an interview, though. (I always say that because it's always a possiblity.) An interview will require you to travel back to Brazil applying Outland.

If you haven't yet, make sure to apply for Visitor status so you maintain legal status in Canada if you plan to wait here while the application is in process.

Good luck!

First stage approval is for the sponsor, NOT the applicant. The only reasons they would refuse a Canadian citizen as sponsor is if they have serious criminal record or are on welfare.

And current spouse/partner approval rates for San Paulo is 91%. So if your application is straight forward you should have no problems. Remember with no evaluation of the relationship, fraud would skyrocket. Lots of scrutiny for new immigrants is definitely required.
