Hello Experts,

I am preparing for Financial Documents and was wondering

- Can I show my RPP funds ( retirement pension plan my contribution + Employers matching contribution) ? - Approx 10K
- Can I show my RRSP contribution as ( Locked portion with Employer + personal separate Unlocked contribution portion)? - 3K

I am currently employed and can show my pay stubs as well, but getting up to $18,617 minimum fund requirement would be challenging without RPP and RRSP contribution for me.

Any pointer or directions are highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

As far as I remember, there is no financial requirement for CEC.

Okay - but i can see OINP site mentioned this

link :http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html

"For applicants who have submitted an application prior to May 6, 2016: your application will be evaluated against the settlement funds requirement that was in place at the time of application. That is, you will need to meet the LICO requirement of 2015. Please note that applicants of the Ontario Express Entry Streams may be refused by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) when they apply for permanent resident status if they do not meet the new 2016 LICO.
2016 LICO Requirements:

# of Family Members*

Funds Required (minimum)
1 $12,164
2 $15,143
3 $18,617
4 $22,603
5 $25,636
6 $28,913
7 or more $32,191

*Note that the number of family members includes both accompanying and non-accompanying dependents."

This changes things. This requirement is being enforced by OINP.

I am sure you can show RRSP funds but RPP funds you will need to check (because they are not available for you to withdraw like RRSP at any time - only allowed under minimal conditions).

Thank you dbss for reply, so what you are saying is if funds are not redeemable i can not use it as supporting documents as financial assets - got it

Edit 1 - spelling mistake

Yes, but check with them. Although they are not redeemable, they are still your liquid assets in my opinion. The point I am trying to make here is that if you have money to cover without it, it is good, else check with OINP because at the end of the day I can say it is valid but if OINP says it is invalid it is invalid.
