After being in Canada since Sept '10, i finally got PR forms submitted.
After arriving here with the intention of Spousal PR, discovering a DUI is criminal, separation, being hand delivered to CBSA and 8 days as a guest of the Federal Government, I finally submitted paper work.
Under Humanitarian & Compassionate grounds.
As i am under an unenforceable removal order, I have also applied for an open work permit.
The next step is Federal Court, when i am informed of the negative PRRA. That is to put a stay on the removal during the family court battle - which is going to be ugly.
My ex keeps doing me favours, like still not retaining a lawyer and being charged with contempt of court - 3 times in as many weeks!
After all the grief and delay by my 2 convictions, they were not even mentioned on the removal order! - just about me being out of status, even though i had submitted the restoration appication -
Although a different route, my heart is still with this forum as i learnt so much about CIC etc here.
