I applied Nov 4th,2012 file started processing january 16th 2013 got test on August 15th,2013 took oath on august 23rd,2013

Lately applicants in Montreal are getting it in 6 to 7 months. So not the shortest. Check May/August/June/July 2013 threads.

The local office your application is forwarded to has a big impact. For example, Mississauga is one of the fastest offices in Canada. It is not uncommon for people to have their oath ceremony 7 months after they send in their application (like myself).
