My husband just got the e-mail stating they were finished the last stage and are now requesting his passport. I'm so excited and happy. I'm laughing and crying and cannot believe it. So silly, it was sitting in my husbands inbox but because it's in english, he didn't know what it said. He got it yesterday. I could kill him, but I woke him up so that will suffice :D

CONGRATULATIONSSSS I see your case took long time could you share why?? what was your problem I am waiting my Visa Office approve my ARC I am so worry but i see everything is possible if you have faith congratulations once again!! so happy for u!!

Thanks Yaz. I'm pretty excited. It took a while because I had to appeal my case when my husband was refused because they didn't believe we had a genuine marriage. He was really nervous and forgot alot of important stuff. Anyways I appealed it and moved to Turkiye in August to wait for my appeal hearing date. I flew back to Canada in March and awaited for my hearing in April. After learning that my appeal hearing was successful in July my file was transferred back to Ankara, where he was requested to redo his Police Clearance and medical. The medical was processed in Paris. Ankara just received the files back yesterday and my husbands passport was requested via e-mail. I think the mail strike slowed everything down, it was during this time when my appeal hearing had just happened. I barely heard a thing from Canada Immigration during the entire process. But today I noticed that on the ECAS website my address here in Canada was finally updated on our file. I was thinking something must be happening, and sure enough that is what happened.
Best of luck to you yaz. This has been a long process for us, difficult at times being apart. Soon we will be reunited.

Mabroooooooooook!!! It appears it was a long wait for you and your husband....wish you all the best in Canada ;D

Wow, I see you've been on here for quite a while. I'm so glad that this ordeal is over for you. Once they have his passport, issuing the visa and landing (yay, official Canandian Permanent Resident!) is a breeze compared the long waiting and wondering that you've had to deal with. Did you also face appealing an initial refusal or am I thinking of someone else. In any case, big congrats to you and your husband.

Wow Congradulations Mrs Turan, I have been..Thats really good news...

No just the one appeal. That was enough! I don't think I could do it twice, I'd have just moved there. Being apart is not a good thing for a newly married couple. This last stretch was 9 months separated. It still hurts thinking about it :'( But he will be here soon, I hope. I just want to get on with our life. Thanks so much for the well wishers, it has meant so much to come on this forum and just be near people going through the same thing as me, being separated from loved ones, or just dealing with the bureaucracy which is Canada Immigration.
I'm so happy, I wonder how I will be at work today, still laughing and crying.

That's what I meant - one successful appeal of the initial refusal. Well, I'm glad they saw y'all for what you were the second time around.
