Filling out other forms question.. what if they need both signatures?

What if you and your other are in different countries.. and you have to fill out another form? -- how do they get both of the signatures? has this ever happened??

If I am not around.. should I print out an extra set of forms just in case? and sign them??

My husband forgot to sign one of his forms, and sending it back to him in Nigeria, then back to me in Canada by courier would have been awfully expensive, so I just had him print out a new copy of the form, sign it, get it scanned, and send it to me by email. The form didn't look quite the same as a 'real' form, but neither Mississauga nor the visa office ever questioned it.
