Files from Buffalo consulate ?

Hi I am new to the forum. I applied for PR to
Canada from USA. Application date is Aug2011
File with Canada consulate in Buffalo.
I came to know that Buffalo consulate closed
It's doors for good on July 01,2012.
I did not get any info from them.
Does anybody knows how this works?
Did they move the file to other consulate?
Will I be informed or not ?
My online status check says the same thing
Since Aug 2011; application rcvd by visa office
Please advice

All files were moved to other visa offices in the US. When they start processing your application, you will find out where it was sent.

You can also request your case notes (GCMS) and that should tell you where it is currently.

Actually the files were moved to CPP-Ottawa from Buffalo.

While I was aware that family class had been moved to Ottawa, I believe I read something back in June that indicated they were moving the economic class applications to NYC. However, from OB 425 clearly that is not the case.

I am also in the same boat as yours, my timeline is on left and havent heard anything till now, I also applied for CAIPS/GCMS but there is no information on where the file was transfered. I also need to update my address info and my son's passport info but dont know where to send the updated info. Will update you if I hear anything from them

I have almost same timeline as yours.
But my E-case Status still shows Received By Visa office.
I also don't know after closer of Buffalo visa office where my file went.

You said your E-case is "In Process" its quick in your case. when it change from RBVO to IN Process? Because per time line i filled few months early than you.
Do you have arrange employment?
