Has anybody experience a file transfer prior to AIP.

Yes ,my case transfer without AIP june 2011 and september 25 they want me for interview in 2 more weeks

Did you forward them any additional information proving your relationship? What exactly do they want you to provide?

hi, i they ask me for more information ,more pictures, recent bank statement ,bill for the house, anything with both of our names on it ,the tax 2011 statement ....i sent all that and 30 days after they reply...and they want a interview in 2 weeks that's good for me that's what i want ...

Sounds like you will get your AIP when you attend your interview. I would appreciate it if you could let me know. My husband's file was sent to Hamilton October 1. Haven't heard anything yet but tomorrow I am sending a pile of additional documents supporting the genuineness of this relationship much similar but in more detail as to what you have listed. Even though they haven't asked for it I am not waiting.

Are they asking for the tax 2011 statement or the option C, I assume it is that of your spouse?

do you live in hamilton? How did you know that they transfered the file? Did they send you a letter? Did you get AIP. What supporting documents you sent in your original application? My opinion is just wait till they ask you for additional documents, since they transfered your file better you show it in hamilton office if they require interview.

Yes we live in Hamilton and they transferred the file right at the time AIP's were being given for our time frame. They emailed my husband a letter notifying him that the file was transferred to Hamilton for further assessment without AIP. I am not going to wait until they ask. I have written a detailed letter about the situation and have enclosed a great deal of supporting documentation. In the beginning all we really had was the wedding photos, the travel tickets of me visiting him in Australia and then him coming here to be with me. I had the prepaid calling card bills and receipts for gifts purchased for one another but I just don't think it was exactly what they were looking for. I have now sent them joint bank information, proof of my name change, utility bills listed under both of our names, insurance documents showing my spouse being added to my auto insurance policy, documents showing my spouse as my beneficiary, letters from family, friends and coworkers documenting that they have knowledge of this relationship from the beginning to present, additional pictures of outings and family dinners, and the emails which show the relationship starting all the way though until September of this year. A wedding card from both parents and a wedding card signed by 30 of my colleagues and the invitation that was sent out. Neither my husband nor I have any criminal record, we have both worked steady for over 30 years and our children are independent adults so all that is left is genuineness and yes we met late last year and married early this year and although we threw around the idea of staying here for a while and doing a sponsorship to Australia from here and we even discussed him going home after his visit and doing the sponsorship from the outside so he could continue working but in the end neither of us wanted to part. My husband has had several job offers and one is in writing so I have included that as well and I am hoping that this helps to speed this up significantly. Do you know anything about the Hamilton office?

They ask the 2011 tax for both

I was thinking it might take a while for them to open the package tht you will send as additional documents. Why not wait till end of this week, hamilton office is not that busy so it wont take too long to responds. Every first wednesday of the month im coming there to report at cbsa. I live here in ancaster near costco. Or make a copy of the documents you will send out just in case they will ask for interview so you can show it personally. I hot AIP from August, im still waiting for them to transfer my file to hamilton.

My husband has a job offer that I should have sent into them back in April. I am usually better at providing supporting documents but we had just been married and I was trying to get things mailed in quickly which is why alot of the documents I have now weren't available at that time. I have copies of everything so there are no worries about somebody not opening it and I have carbon copied the letter to Vegreville.

Did you come to Canada as a visitor if you don't mind me asking?
