File recieved

Hi friends.
According to postal track, my application package was received at Buffalo Office on the 8th of Sep. 08. I am wondering how long it may take them to send my file number or AOR. If my application is incomplete, do they send back the package immediately upon receipt?

Mine was received on July 16 2008 and still waiting for the AOR, and looks like it will like that after the elections on October 14 so, relax and keep studying for the IELTS

I read on the immigration site that it takes just a month.
