Is this normal .. Having to oay 500 dollars to see a doctor at emergency? My Fiance who is on a student visa has UHIP from his university. According to the insurance the hospital i was at was charging us fees that are not covered and it doesn't make sense why i was charged that much. Does anyone know of hospitals that accept UHIP? Some walk in clinics couldn't help us either. Its very frustating when the administration at the university has said all you need is your UHIP card to be accepted to see a doctor. Has anyone gone through this process before?
