Hi, my fiancé who is Canadian is planning to sponsor me. PLEASE HELP WITH QUESTIONS.
I am currently back in South Africa after working and Studying in Canada for 2 years.
1. Can I apply for a visitors visa, and once I arrive in Canada have her sponsor me so stay in Canada.
2. I have been told that you can apply for an open work permit along with the sponsorship? If the sponsorship application is approved, is the work permit also approved automatically?
AND/ how long does it take for you to get your work permit, or do you get it right away?
3. My fiancé is still studying, so I am working to get enough money so I can support myself until the work permit is approved and I can start working so that I do not rely on her too much for money while I am waiting for the PR. I can provide evidence on enough money to support myself, as well as financial assistance from my parents while I am in Canada. Will this help?
AND/ is it bad that she is still studying? Will she need to get a job too, or show proof of her father financially supporting her, and giving her access to his funds?
4. Once in Canada, where do we have to go to do the application for sponsorship?
5. How much money, or proof of available funds will I need to show for the sponsorship to be approved, and is there a chance of the sponsorship being approved, but me application for a work permit denied?
Thank you for all the help. And advice, or assistance will be greatly appreciated.
