Hello Everyone,

My son's in laws are in Canada on visitor visa to help my daughter in law during pregnancy and post delivery. They will be completing 6 months in June and it is time for their return. My son got laid off from his previous organization in 2023. Currently he is doing full time security job and my daughter in law is getting EI post maternity benefit, plus they get rent from one of their tenant. The overall total income per month is 5000CAD.

Would it be possible for my son to sponsor his in-laws under super visa, considering the overall monthly income they get. He wants to sponsor at least his mother in law so that she can stay back and look after the baby while my daughter in law resumes back to work after completion of maternity period. Please note the security agency where my son is working has not provided offer letter where it proves that he is employed, his salary is paid through online bank credit by the security agency.

Alternately can they extend the visitor visa while being in Canada, their visa is valid till 2029 but I heard officially they can stay only for six months and return and they can get back only after 6 months. To avoid all this hastle and looking at the travel expenses we feel it is best if they could get visa extension or Super visa while they are in Canada.

Request to kindly advise.

Not a family sponsorship issue. Post under Visitors.
