Fees/sponsorship application

Hi,
I am sponsoring one of my parents to canada ..While filling the fee payment form IMM 5770, there is a column for sponsor ($75) and another one for principal applicant ($475).

I am wondering what is difference between the two..

$75 is for you as a sponsor, $475 is for the principal applicant and $550 is for principal applicant's spouse.
If you are sponsoring 1 parent then you have to pay $75 + $475
If you are sponsoring both of your parents then you have to pay $75+$475+$550.
If you are sponsoring the dependents of your parents then you need to pay $150 per dependent.
