Just a quick question. I and my spouse were applying for the family class sponsorship (she is a Canadian citizen, resident in Canada). While paying fees online, we selected the check boxes for the "spouse in canada classs" instead of the "family class". The total still comes out to be the same - $1040. So I was wondering whether we need to cancel and get a refund, and then get a new fee receipt with the correct check boxes selected, or is it OK to just send it as it is. We are worried that the app will be returned, since many of the documents (esp. pcc) are very near to expiration.

Pretty much the same thing happened to us, except we overpaid the 1040 because hubby clicked one of the fees wrong. He called CIC and they said as long as it adds up to 1040 it is ok, and if you overpay they will just refund you at some point.. so you should be fine, but you can call CIC if you want to be absolutely sure. :)

Good :) I was terrified at the time too, lol. Oh, this process!!
