Anybody can help please. I applied initially as a single applicant and got married after I received my 1st AOR. I am including my spouse in my application. I am going to submit our full documents next week. My problem is with the fee payment form. I only have to pay for my spouse since I have already paid the CAD $550 in my initial application right? In the form, the "1" in the portion of the principal applicant cannot be deleted. And in placing "1" in the portion for the spouse, the total adds up to CAD $1,100 which my credit limit cannot accomodate! But in the lower portion of the form, there is a box there wherein you can fill-in the exact amount that you are authorizing CIC to charge. I placed there CAD $550 only.

Am I allowed to erase the "1" in the portion for the spouse? Anybody with the same problem and have resolutions? Please reply. Thanks!

Angeljade,

I had the similar situation, as during the process of submitting my full documents after receiving 1st AOR, my son was born.

I added his information when I sent my full documents and used the fee payment form. As the principal applicant section was already filled up and as this form is a must for the processing of the application, I authorised the total amount as CAD 150 (child fees) on my Credit card and struck out the 1 and the amount in the principal column with a pen.

I also put a covering letter explaining why I did this, saying that the form did not allow me to delete it (as since it was preloaded by CIC with the principal applicant section completed)

I suggest you can do the same.

All the best !

Hello! Thanks for your reply. May i ask when did you send your documents? Were there no negative feedbacks from the VO after that? Was it approved by the VO? What is the status of your application now? Thank you really. Your reply is very much appreciated.

Hi,

My VO is London. I sent my full documents which reached London on 22nd June 2010. I am still waiting for the 2nd AOR and for my E-cas to change.

Reading reviews on this forum, I noticed that it takes approx 45 - 50 days to get the 2nd AOR.

A friend of mine did the same thing when he added his baby onto the application and it went through without a problem.

If you look at it logically, this is the only option, as since the instruction guide clearly says that this fee payment form must be sent along, no matter what mode of payment is chosed. Therefore, even if we choose to send a bank draft for this additional dependant, we have to fill up the fee payment form.

The VO will definitely understand as since they know that the form is pre filled in the principal applicant section. As long as they recieve our authorisation to charge the credit card, we are good to go.

That is why to be on a safer side, I put a covering letter explaining the reason of using a pen and striking out the principal applicant section.

Regards,
